PSA: LJ reimbursement

For those that are but don’t follow , go here and make with the clicky (explanation).

One thing in their favour; they reimburse for stuff not their fault (although they’ll likely get something out of 365 Main) and announce in advance when they’re going to do upgrades or turn stuff off deliberately unlike certain other sites. *cough*Facebook*cough*

  4. If you extend a life membership by 3 days, does this mean my life expectancy will increase, too? *clicks* Bah.

I imagine that was to do with this.

Office workers logging into Facebook on Tuesday morning were shocked to discover they were being served up other user’s private pages.

Information going astray included other user’s message inboxes. Fortunately more sensitive information - such as users’ contact details - remained off limits to all but a member’s friends.

I don’t think you can really give notice of having to fix that.

  6. Ow. Ok, yeah, that makes sense. So it was instead a lie, which again puts them below LJ, who are fairly open about repairs or fixes for security concerns.

    Ah well.
